An Insight into the Life of Roy Lichtenstein

Lichtenstein was a revolutionary artist, who started the pop art era alongside Andy Warhol in the 1960's. In 1966 he became the first American to exhibit at London’s Tate Gallery.

Here are some of his popular pieces listed on the Roy Lichtenstein Foundation which will also be shown at the exhibit

A shot from his Romantic art

"In the Car"

"Whaam!"

"Pow!"

I am fortunate enough to find one example of the numerous billboard advertisements the Tate Modern show around the London underground stations.
Millions of people commute through London every year and a well advertised event like this one is going to get recognised straight away in the Uk's Capital city!
